Wireless Employee Attendance

Abstract

Employee attendance is an essential aspect of a company, which tracks employee presence and ensures the employee works on time. Nowadays, most companies use a system that reads the employee identity card using Near-field Communication (NFC). However, it's unsurprising that some employees often forget to bring their identity card, which requires them to do absence manually. This project presents a wireless employee attendance system that uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Bluetooth Classic to track the employee's mobile phone. Why a mobile phone? Because most people never forget this item wherever they go. Besides mobile phones, it can also detect laptops with BLE or Bluetooth.
